Air Samarkand has launched its first direct flight from Uzbekistan's Tashkent city to Sharm El-Sheikh, opening nonstop air travel to one of Egypt’s most popular resort destinations.
The inaugural flight took place on January 11, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
“In partnership with EasyBooking and Kompas Tour, we are opening the flight season to Egypt’s top resorts,” Air Samarkand said in a statement, highlighting its focus on expanding leisure travel options.
The airline will operate flights on the Tashkent-Sharm El-Sheikh route once a week, every Sunday, giving travelers from Uzbekistan convenient direct access to the Red Sea resort.
