BMB Holding to Supply Uzbek Products to US Costco Stores

During a visit to the US, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of BMB Holding, has held talks with Ed Martin, Head of Sales and Distribution at American retail giant Costco Wholesale.

Costco Wholesale, one of the world’s largest hypermarket chains, operates over a thousand stores across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. In 2025, the company reported revenue of $275.2 billion and employed more than 341,000 people, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Initial contacts between BMB Holding and Costco were established in 2024 during a visit to Uzbekistan by Francesco De Natale, a member of the US conglomerate’s board of directors. Uzbek export food products successfully passed a three-stage quality control process required for placement on Costco shelves.

During the latest talks, both parties agreed to develop practical cooperation and address organizational issues related to BMB Holding product supplies. This includes shipments of deeply processed agricultural products, fruits and vegetables, and saffron. Product samples were provided to the US side for marketing purposes.

The delegation also agreed to continue targeted work on establishing cooperation mechanisms with Costco branches in the US and other countries, with additional negotiations planned for the future.

The first shipments of high value-added Uzbek agricultural and food products, fully meeting international standards, to Costco are expected to mark an important step in entering the US premium consumer market.

In the long term, this partnership aims to strengthen the global presence of Uzbek products, expand export potential, and create new jobs through the development of modern logistics and quality control systems.
