Centrum Air Connects Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan with New Nukus-Aktau Route

Uzbek airline Centrum Air launched a new regular service on the Nukus-Aktau (Kazakhstan) route starting July 3.

The flights will operate twice weekly, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

To celebrate the inaugural flight, a welcome ceremony was held at Aktau International Airport, jointly organized by the Uzbek Consulate General in Aktau and the Mangystau regional administration.

Centrum Air is a private hybrid airline based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Established on January 18, 2023, as part of a government initiative to enhance domestic and international air travel, the airline has quickly become a significant player in the region's aviation sector.

The airline commenced operations with a focus on both passenger and cargo services, operating charter and scheduled flights to various destinations. As of 2025, Centrum Air boasts a fleet of nine aircraft, including Airbus A320-200s, A320neos, A321neos, and an A330-300 widebody jet . The airline plans to expand its fleet to 24 aircraft by 2026, incorporating a mix of Airbus A320 and A330 family jets.

Centrum Air operates a hub-and-spoke model with Tashkent as its central hub, connecting passengers to various destinations across Central Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, the Middle East, and Europe . The airline's expansion strategy includes launching new routes and increasing flight frequencies to meet growing demand and enhance regional connectivity.

In addition to its operational growth, Centrum Air has also made significant strides in fleet modernization, acquiring new-generation aircraft such as the Airbus A321neo, marking its entry into the ranks of airlines operating brand-new aircraft in Uzbekistan.

Through its commitment to service excellence and strategic expansion, Centrum Air aims to become a leading airline in the region, offering reliable and efficient air travel options for both leisure and business travelers.
