China, Uzbekistan Push Major Energy Deals

China and Uzbekistan are deepening their energy partnership, with both sides exploring new large projects in hydrocarbon production alongside a strong push into renewable energy.

Officials from China and Uzbekistan held talks focused on promising initiatives in oil and gas extraction, signaling continued cooperation in traditional energy sectors, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The discussions also covered plans to build underground gas storage facilities and modernize key pipeline infrastructure - steps aimed at strengthening regional energy security and efficiency.

At the same time, both countries are accelerating their shift toward cleaner energy. Energy leaders reviewed joint projects to develop solar and wind power plants, leveraging advanced Chinese technologies to expand Uzbekistan’s “green” energy capacity.
