Fuel Shortage Forces Uzbekistan Airways to Cut Russia Flights

Uzbekistan Airways has reduced the frequency of several flights between Uzbekistan and Russia due to a shortage of aviation fuel and rising fuel prices, the airline said in a statement issued by its press office, The Caspian Post reports.

The carrier did not specify which specific routes would be affected by the flight reductions.

According to the airline, passengers whose flights are cancelled will be given two options: they can either be rebooked on the next available flight free of charge, or receive a full refund of the ticket price without any penalties.

The airline also stated that refunds will be processed at the original point of ticket purchase.
