A special fire safety regime has been introduced in Tashkent from June 22 until September 15.
The relevant decision by city mayor Shavkat Umurzakov was published on the E-qaror platform, The Caspian Post reports.
The Main Directorate for Emergency Situations, together with Uzenergoinspektsiya, the Industrial Safety Committee, and Hududgaz Poytakht, is strengthening oversight of catering establishments to prevent unauthorized connections to gas pipelines.
The use of household gas cylinders for cooking has been banned in markets, shopping malls, and other service facilities.
Strict requirements are also being introduced for gas stations:
- Inspections will be carried out at all types of gas stations, CNG filling stations, and AGCS facilities;
- Refueling large vehicles and loading fuel into storage facilities will be prohibited from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM;
Direct refueling of passenger vehicles with liquefied gas from tank trucks will not be allowed.
The Main Directorate of Internal Affairs and district administrations must identify barriers and other obstacles that could hinder the movement of emergency response services.
Preventive maintenance measures are also being organized in residential buildings. These include inspections of electrical networks, gas systems, boilers, ventilation systems, and chimneys. Special attention is being given to the safety of air conditioners and household appliances.
