Hungary has officially ratified the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union, marking a new step forward in strengthening political and economic ties between Central Asia and Europe.
Hungary has completed all domestic legal procedures to approve the agreement, becoming the second country after Estonia to ratify the document, The Caspian Post reports via Dunyo.
The agreement represents a major milestone in relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union, aiming to expand cooperation in trade, investment, governance, and sustainable development.
The signing ceremony took place on October 24, 2025, in Brussels in the presence of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
With Hungary’s ratification, the agreement moves closer to full implementation, further deepening Uzbekistan-EU relations and opening new opportunities for long-term strategic partnership.
