A devastating nighttime fire in Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region claimed the lives of two people and left three others injured.
The incident occurred late on June 16 in the Yazyavan district, when emergency services received reports of a vehicle fire at 10:16 p.m. (GMT+5). Firefighters and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control within a short period, The Caspian Post reports via Gazeta.uz.
Preliminary reports indicate that two people died in the fire, while three others suffered injuries of varying severity and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The blaze also destroyed around 60 square meters of an abandoned non-residential building and engulfed three vehicles - a Labo, a Hyundai, and a Mercedes-Benz.
Police officers are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the material damage.
