The geographical location and logistics infrastructure of Uzbekistan are highly attractive to companies from various countries, including Pakistan. The availability of existing production facilities, land areas, and tax incentives provide a solid foundation for this interest.
Uzbekistan CCI hosted a meeting with the participation of representatives of the Association of Leather and Footwear Producers of Uzbekistan, local leather and shoe manufacturers, Pakistani companies, and industry associations, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.
Representatives of Pakistan were introduced to Uzbekistan’s industrial infrastructure, including small industrial zones, production facilities, land plots, and tax benefits, in Tashkent and regions.
Cosmopolitan Enterprises, Madina Oasis, J&S Timeless Leather, STA Leather Products, and other companies have expressed interest in establishing joint production with local enterprises. It is planned to produce products of Pakistani brands in Uzbekistan with subsequent export. Several companies intend to purchase land in Uzbekistan’s industrial zones and establish production facilities. In this regard, the advantages created for investors were highlighted: customs and tax incentives, infrastructure support mechanisms, and the reform of the certification system.
According to the Uzbekistan CCI, the delegation analyzed the possibilities of exporting manufactured products to the markets of Europe, Türkiye, Russia, Central Asia, and China. Preliminary agreements have been reached on the launch of joint projects, including production and export in Uzbekistan.
