Pakistani Delegation Explores Leather Export and Production Opportunities in Uzbekistan

A delegation representing Pakistan’s leather industry has completed a working visit to Uzbekistan’s Fergana and Andijan regions, as part of an initiative organized by the Uzcharmsanoat Association.

The visit was aimed at strengthening industrial ties, assessing investment potential, and exploring Uzbekistan’s growing export capabilities in the leather and footwear sectors, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

In the Fergana region, the delegation visited the Adib LLC manufacturing facility, where they were introduced to the company’s advanced production processes and export capacity. The visit provided the guests with a practical overview of how Uzbekistan’s leather sector is evolving through modernization and international partnerships.

The delegation also toured the Small Industrial Zone in the Kuvasay district, where they received detailed information on infrastructure availability, land allocation procedures, and investment incentives for foreign partners. Delegates expressed their intention to relay these insights to fellow members of Pakistan’s national leather association, highlighting Uzbekistan’s attractiveness as a business destination.

Continuing their program in the Andijan region, the delegation visited RAVON TARAKKIYOT ORZUSI, a footwear manufacturer, where they explored product samples and discussed export prospects, including logistics options and order terms. The group also visited a local KFK cluster, gaining exposure to the region’s full-cycle leather manufacturing - from raw material processing to finished goods.

The visit concluded with a trip to the leather and footwear-focused Small Industrial Zone in Oltinkul, where delegates were briefed on the operational environment and infrastructure available to resident companies. Expressing strong interest, the Pakistani side indicated plans to establish a showroom in Oltinkul, and potentially launch production facilities, pending further feasibility assessments.
