Russia-Uzbekistan Trade Turnover Exceeds $10 Billion in 2024

Trade turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan rose by 5.2% in 2024 compared with the previous year to over $10 bln, the Russian government reported citing First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov following a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Zhamshid Khodzhayev.

Meanwhile Uzbekistan estimates the dynamics of bilateral trade even more optimistically, registering its growth to $11.7 bln, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.

"According to preliminary estimates, last year mutual trade turnover grew by 5.2% to over $10 bln, with both Russian exports and imports from Uzbekistan being on the rise," Manturov said.

Positive dynamics is observed in the tourist sector. In particular, Russian tourists made 515,000 trips to Uzbekistan last year.
