CEO of Saudi Arabia’s DataVolt Rajit Nanda has held a strategic meeting with Uzbek Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Umid Abidkhadjaev to discuss advancing sustainable energy and IT infrastructure cooperation.
DataVolt, renowned for designing, constructing, and operating state-of-the-art data centers, offers high-performance, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable solutions tailored for corporate clients, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The company places strong emphasis on integrating renewable energy sources-solar, wind, and hydro-and achieving carbon neutrality through international green energy certification (I-REC).
The discussion focused on expanding the I-REC certification mechanism in Uzbekistan, securing reliable and sustainable power supply for the country’s IT sector, and introducing innovative “green” energy technologies.
Both sides also considered improvements to Uzbekistan’s legal framework on renewable energy certification to facilitate these initiatives.
Concluding the talks, the parties agreed to conduct joint analyses, draft recommendations based on global best practices, and continue their collaboration to build a resilient, sustainable energy market in Uzbekistan while strengthening bilateral ties.
