Teplo Autumn Fest Showcases Uzbekistan’s Cultural Tourism Ambitions

The Teplo Autumn Fest, a three-day cultural event held from September 19 to 21 in the heart of the capital, has brought together local creativity, entrepreneurship, and international tourism in a vibrant celebration of Uzbekistan’s emerging cultural economy.

Supported by the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, the festival is part of a broader national strategy to strengthen tourism by promoting the creative industries and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The festival’s bustling marketplace hosted more than 100 local designers and artisans, featuring exclusive fashion collections, handmade crafts, and creative goods. Organizers say the event offered local entrepreneurs a valuable platform to boost brand recognition, grow their customer base, and engage directly with the public.

In addition to the marketplace, Teplo Autumn Fest included partner zones and interactive workshops, allowing companies to present their services, build business networks, and trial new consumer engagement formats. These elements, organizers noted, position the festival as a dynamic incubator for creative businesses.

The event also contributed to Tashkent’s growing cultural appeal, offering visitors a range of experiences-from an international food court and live music performances to educational talks and nature walks in the Japanese Garden. Foreign guests were introduced to a modern, innovative Tashkent that still honors its cultural roots.

“This festival is more than a local celebration-it’s a key step toward integrating creative industries into Uzbekistan’s economy and tourism sector,” organizers said. “It helps small brands gain exposure and introduces new, authentic experiences for both domestic and international tourists.”

As interest in the event grows each year, Teplo Autumn Fest is gradually establishing itself as a cornerstone of Uzbekistan’s cultural calendar and a symbol of the country’s commitment to sustainable tourism, creative entrepreneurship, and global engagement.
