Uzbek Delegation Seeks Stronger Investment Ties in Germany

A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Zoyir Mirzaev, Governor of the Tashkent region, is conducting a series of practical meetings and negotiations in Germany aimed at deepening economic cooperation and attracting foreign investment.

As part of the visit, the delegation held high-level talks with representatives of ODDO BHF, one of the foremost independent banking groups in Europe, with a rich 170-year history, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.

The sides discussed opportunities to establish bilateral cooperation, attract investment into key infrastructure and development projects in Uzbekistan, and explore prospects for long-term partnership.

Founded in 1849, ODDO BHF is jointly headquartered in Paris and Frankfurt am Main, employing over 3,000 staff globally. The bank manages assets worth 140 billion euros and operates through a network of more than 500 branches and specialized offices worldwide.

In a notable moment of the visit, Governor Mirzaev met with Islam Iskandarov, an Uzbek national serving as an international manager at the bank. Their meeting included discussions about Iskandarov’s professional experience in one of Europe’s leading financial institutions, the bank’s adoption of innovative working methods, and broader insights into the German and European labor markets.
