Uzbek Delegation Strengthens Ties with Chinese Regions Through Investment and Trade Visits

A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region, led by acting regional governor Erkinjon Turdimov, is on a working visit to China, engaging in high-level meetings with regional authorities and leading Chinese companies.

In Zhejiang Province, the delegation visited a local medical institute to exchange expertise in healthcare and scientific research, laying the groundwork for deeper bilateral cooperation and joint projects, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The city of Yiwu hosted the Syrdarya-Zhejiang Investment Forum, bringing together about 200 Chinese and 50 Syrdarya entrepreneurs. Discussions focused on new avenues for collaboration, joint ventures, and regional investment opportunities. During a meeting with Yiwu Communist Party Secretary Ye Bangrui, participants explored Yiwu’s experience in developing small businesses and industrial enterprises, identifying ways to replicate this success in Syrdarya, including the establishment of small manufacturing units and a trade center.

The delegation also held talks with companies including Ruian Quanji Agricultural Development, Heben International, China Wenren, Taizhou Shanda International Trade, Fourone System, and Sichuan Tenzhui Jie, covering investment, cooperation, and joint projects in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, industrial tech parks, construction materials, and innovative technologies.

In Fujian Province, the Syrdarya-Fujian Trade and Investment Forum gathered over 200 executives from Chinese companies. The forum featured B2B and G2B meetings, with discussions involving Fujian Minyijia New Building Material, Pan Pan Food, Sichuan Kindafu Door, Zhejiang Kelu Nukler, Fujian Road and Bridge Construction, and Fujian Zhanda, focusing on construction, infrastructure, agro-processing, and energy sector collaboration.

Acting governor Erkinjon Turdimov also held an official meeting with Fujian Governor Zhao Long, agreeing to elevate practical regional cooperation to a new level.

The delegation visited Snowkey Group and Hoardsun Technology Group, exploring prospects for joint projects in manufacturing compressors, engines, and advanced industrial equipment.
