Uzbekistan Welcomes 664,000 Newborns — Boys Take Lead!

Uzbekistan has welcomed over 664,000 newborns between January and September 2025, with boys slightly outnumbering girls.

Official records show 343,600 boys (51.7 per cent) and 321,000 girls (48.3 per cent) born during the nine-month period, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

When broken down by residence, 319,300 babies (48 per cent) were born in urban areas, while 345,300 (52 per cent) came from rural regions - continuing the trend of higher birth rates outside major cities.

Overall, the birth rate for the period stood at 23.5 children per 1,000 people, reflecting steady population growth in the country.
