Uzbek Leader to Visit Türkiye at Erdoğan’s Invitation

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is set to pay an official visit to Türkiye on January 29 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The visit to Ankara will feature the fourth meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, co-chaired by the two leaders, as both sides seek to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Talks are expected to focus on advancing political dialogue, boosting trade turnover, launching cooperation projects in priority economic sectors, and strengthening transport connectivity. The agenda also includes a review of cultural and humanitarian exchanges, alongside an exchange of views on key international and regional issues.

A substantial package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed following the high-level talks, with the two presidents also scheduled to take part in a series of joint events.
