Uzbek President Begins Official Program in Washington

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in the United States on a working visit, marking an important step in strengthening ties between Tashkent and Washington.

The Uzbek leader, accompanied by his spouse, landed at Joint Base Andrews, where he was welcomed by Chair of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Mississippi National Guard James Hankins, and other senior officials, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

High-Level Meeting in Washington

During his stay, President Mirziyoyev held talks at his Washington residence with Paolo Zampolli, Special Envoy of the President of the United States. The discussions focused on advancing bilateral cooperation and exploring new avenues for engagement.

Summit and Business Agenda

The visit’s centerpiece will be President Mirziyoyev’s participation in the first Summit of the Peace Council, alongside a series of high-level business events aimed at boosting economic partnerships.
