As part of his working visit to New York, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has held a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau to discuss ways to further strengthen the Uzbek-American strategic partnership.
The talks built upon the agreements reached during a recent phone conversation between President Mirziyoyev and US President Joe Biden on September 5. Both sides expressed strong interest in expanding high-level political dialogue and enhancing bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
Special attention was given to the implementation of joint economic and investment projects involving leading American companies and financial institutions. The two officials emphasized the importance of translating strategic agreements into practical outcomes that support sustainable development and shared prosperity.
The meeting underscored the growing momentum in Uzbekistan-US relations and reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to deepening engagement through mutually beneficial initiatives.
