Uzbek President Receives Jordan’s Highest Honor During King Abdullah II’s Visit

During the state visit of King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan to Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the Order of Al-Nahda (“Renaissance”), the kingdom’s highest state honor, personally presented by the King.

“I accept this award with great honor as a well-deserved recognition of our joint efforts to expand multifaceted cooperation, and as a symbol of friendship and respect for the people of Uzbekistan, who are laying the foundations of the Third Renaissance,” President Mirziyoyev said, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The historic visit marked a new milestone in the Uzbekistan-Jordan relations, elevating them to a strategic partnership. The two leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation across political, trade-economic, investment, transport, and cultural-humanitarian sectors.

President Mirziyoyev also acknowledged King Abdullah II’s significant role in Jordan’s rapid development, peaceful foreign policy, and growing international influence.

He stressed that the prestigious award will serve as a lasting symbol of the strong friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Jordan, expressing gratitude to King Abdullah II and extending wishes of peace and prosperity to the Jordanian people.
