Uzbek, Russian Presidents Exchange Views on Peace and Partnership

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin have exchanged views on regional security, strategic partnership, and bilateral cooperation during a phone call.

During the call, President Mirziyoyev strongly condemned the attack attempt on the Russian president’s residence in the Nizhny Novgorod region, stressing that such acts threaten stability and security and undermine efforts to maintain long-term peace, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The leaders discussed the further development of Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and alliance, as well as the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. They also exchanged views on key international and regional issues and coordinated the schedule for upcoming events.

The conversation concluded with mutual New Year greetings for 2026, with wishes for good health, happiness, prosperity, and continued peace for the peoples of both countries.
