Uzbek, Turkish Leaders Hail Growing Momentum of Co-Op in Many Areas

On February 26, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which he warmly congratulated him on his birthday.

The President of Uzbekistan sincerely wished the Turkish leader good health, well-being, and great success in his responsible mission for the sustainable development and prosperity of the brotherly Turkish people, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The role and personal contribution of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in developing modern Türkiye, enhancing the country’s global standing, and achieving the highest level of comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were emphasized.

The ongoing active and productive contacts and exchanges at various levels and the growing momentum of practical cooperation in trade, economy, and cultural-humanitarian spheres were noted with deep satisfaction.

The importance of advancing cooperation projects in investment, innovation, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other sectors was emphasized.

The heads of state paid special attention to preparing the agenda for the upcoming High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting and the forthcoming summits within the Organization of Turkic States.

Views on current international issues were also exchanged.

Following the conversation, the two countries’ leaders exchanged greetings on the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, sacred for the entire Muslim Ummah, sincerely wishing peace, well-being, and progress to the brotherly peoples of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
