Uzbekistan and Algeria have signed new bilateral agreements aimed at deepening political dialogue, expanding diplomatic cooperation and strengthening ties between their foreign policy institutions.
The documents were signed following talks between Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Algeria’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.
One of the key agreements introduces mutual visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic passports, a move expected to facilitate official exchanges and strengthen government-to-government cooperation.
The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry and Algeria’s Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations.
