Uzbekistan Becomes Hotspot for South Korean Travelers

Uzbekistan is seeing a growing influx of visitors from South Korea, with thousands traveling to the country in early 2026.

A total of 6,385 South Korean citizens visited Uzbekistan in January-February this year-an increase of 21.7% compared to the same period in 2025, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Tourism accounted for the majority of visits, with 4,682 travelers arriving to explore the country’s cultural and historical attractions. Some 987 visitors came to see relatives, while 679 traveled for educational purposes.

A smaller number of visits were linked to official business (22 people) and medical treatment (15 people), reflecting a diverse range of travel motivations.
