Uzbekistan has come alive with the colors, sounds, and traditions of Turkmenistan during the vibrant Turkmenistan Culture Days.
The event, held in Khorezm and Tashkent, celebrated the deep historical and cultural ties between the two fraternal nations, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
The festivities kicked off in Khorezm with musical performances and creative discussions between cultural figures, including Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Minister of Culture Bakhodir Akhmedov and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Nursakhet Shirimov. The dialogue focused on strengthening friendship, sharing expertise, and promoting good-neighborly relations.
A highlight came on October 22 when the Dashoguz Regional Musical and Drama Theater performed Fire of Recognition at the Khorezm Regional Theater in Urgench, drawing a packed audience and showcasing Turkmen performing arts at their finest.
Tashkent then hosted the theater company at the State Drama Theater and a professional exchange between artists and museum experts, exploring heritage preservation, museum collaboration, and the promotion of contemporary art.
The closing ceremony at the Uzbekistan Palace of International Forums featured a spectacular joint concert blending Turkmen traditions with modern performances, leaving audiences with a lasting impression of friendship and cultural unity.
Following a similar celebration in Ashgabat in 2024, these Culture Days underscore how art and heritage continue to strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
