Uzbekistan Dominates Asian Youth Games with Rising Gold Medal Count

Uzbekistan's national team is on a winning streak at the third Asian Youth Games, steadily increasing its gold medal tally and showcasing the nation’s rising sports talent.

Track star Anastasiya Silchenkova delivered a standout performance, claiming gold in the girls’ 3000-meter race with an impressive time of 9 minutes 43.61 seconds, confirming her place among Uzbekistan’s most promising young athletes, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

In the javelin throw, Parizoda Talabova struck gold with a powerful throw of 53.08 meters, adding to the country’s medal count.

The success didn’t stop there - Uzbekistan’s Muay Thai fighters dominated the arena. Muzaffar Norhodzhaev secured gold in the under-17, 54 kg category, defeating Cambodia’s representative, while Asadbek Turdiboev triumphed in the under-15, 51 kg category, beating an athlete from Iraq.

The Taekwondo team also impressed: Omadbek Otabekov clinched gold in the under-63 kg division, overcoming a competitor from Kazakhstan, while Asadbek Samandarov earned silver in the under-55 kg category.

Uzbekistan’s total medal count now stands at 28 - including 14 gold, 5 silver, and 9 bronze - a strong showing that continues to lift the nation’s profile on the Asian youth sports stage.
