Uzbekistan and China are strengthening investment and trade ties ahead of 2026, following a high-level meeting in Tashkent.
Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yu Jun to review bilateral cooperation in 2025 and discuss priorities for the coming year, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The officials highlighted the steady growth of trade, economic, and investment relations, noting that Uzbekistan continues attracting Chinese investors with its favorable investment climate.
A key focus of the discussion was the preparation of the third Uzbekistan-China Regional Forum, expected to gather over 1,000 representatives from government agencies and the business community, alongside the development of a substantial investment portfolio.
Both sides also agreed to create a dedicated platform for regular direct dialogue with major Chinese companies, aimed at accelerating joint projects and expanding investment cooperation between the two nations.
