Uzbekistan Sends New Humanitarian Aid to Afghanistan

Uzbekistan has delivered a new batch of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, strengthening ties and regional support.

A ceremony in Hairatan, Balkh Province marked the handover of approximately 390 tons of aid, including food products, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment, prepared at Uzbekistan’s Termez Cargo Centre, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Governor of Balkh, Haji Mohammad Yousuf Wafa inspected the shipment and thanked the president of Uzbekistan for ongoing support, emphasizing that these humanitarian efforts demonstrate the brotherly relations between the two countries.

This is the fourth batch of aid sent in 2025, reflecting Uzbekistan’s commitment to assisting Afghanistan while also boosting bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Officials note that these initiatives have helped increase Afghan exports and improve the socio-economic situation in the region.
