Uzbekistan and China are set to expand their economic partnership following a high-level meeting between Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and Liu Yu, Chairman of the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.
The Association, which represents over 100 Chinese companies actively operating in Uzbekistan, plays a key role in sectors such as construction, engineering, agriculture, energy, and telecommunications, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the meeting, both parties discussed a series of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral industrial and investment cooperation. These include the establishment of a Comprehensive Support Center for Uzbek-Chinese Joint Ventures, the creation of an Investment Attraction Center within Uzbekistan’s industrial parks, and the organization of investment roadshows in China. The formation of a Uzbek-Chinese Investment Alliance was also proposed as a platform for long-term collaboration.
Officials noted that the implementation of these initiatives will not only enhance industrial cooperation but also attract new flows of direct foreign investment and support the adoption of advanced technologies in Uzbekistan’s production sectors.
