At Fergana State University, the Uzbek edition of Azerbaijani national poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade’s book “Jonimga jo - Ozarbayjonim” has been presented, marking the 100th anniversary of the literary classic.
The event was held as part of the “Days of Azerbaijani Art and Literature” program organized by the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Vice-Rector Zakir Ragimov highlighted growing literary collaboration between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, while the center’s director Akif Marifli noted that the cultural partnership reflects strong trust and brotherhood fostered by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Uzbek scholars and artists emphasized Vahabzade’s work as a bridge between classical and modern poetic traditions. The theater troupe “Khary Bülbül” performed a dramatic composition based on his poems, captivating attendees and celebrating Azerbaijani literary heritage.
