Customs officers in Uzbekistan have uncovered more than 72 kilograms of hashish cleverly disguised as potatoes in Surkhandarya Region.
The seizure took place at the international checkpoint Termez-Autonomous Border Crossing, where officers from the State Security Service's Border Troops worked alongside customs officials, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Inside the truck, investigators found 222 potato replicas, each containing portions of hashish, totaling 72.3 kg. Preliminary reports indicate the drugs were intended for transport to another country. An official investigation is currently underway.
