Uzbekistan has substantially increased its bean exports in the first half of 2025, reinforcing its position as a key agricultural exporter in the region.
Thus, Uzbekistan exported 80,053 tons of beans between January and June, generating $208.9 million in revenue, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.
This represents an increase of 11,753 tons, or 17.2 per cent, compared to the same period in 2024.
The largest share of Uzbekistan’s bean exports went to China, which imported 27,514 tons. Other major destinations included Pakistan (14,368 tons), Afghanistan (13,365 tons), Iran (10,402 tons), and Georgia (4,159 tons). An additional 10,245 tons were shipped to various other countries.
