Uzbekistan, Japan Collaborate on New IT School to Boost Language Skills

Tashkent has hosted a meeting between Orion Computer representatives, led by advisor to the Japanese Minister of Digital Technologies Akihiro Sakurai, and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister Rustam Karimjonov to discuss plans for establishing a specialized IT school in Uzbekistan focused on training IT professionals with advanced Japanese language skills.

Key cooperation areas include the school's launch, accelerated training programs to prepare skilled personnel for the Japanese labor market, expansion of Uzbekistan’s IT outsourcing capabilities, and the development of curricula meeting Japanese educational standards, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The meeting also emphasized enhancing collaboration between Japanese companies and Uzbekistan’s burgeoning IT sector.

Orion Computer confirmed its plans to participate in the upcoming ICT Week in September, where it intends to finalize the establishment of its official representative office in Uzbekistan.
