Uzbekistan Joins Global Effort to End Violence Against Children

Uzbekistan has officially become the 46th member of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children, taking a significant step toward strengthening the protection of children’s rights and ensuring their safety.

The country’s decision reflects its ongoing progress in this sphere, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

In May 2025, Uzbekistan adopted the Law on Protecting Children from All Forms of Violence, a landmark measure aimed at safeguarding children. Authorities are also working on an intersectoral strategy and action plan designed to provide comprehensive protection and support for every child.

UNICEF remains a key partner of the Uzbek government in these efforts, assisting to implement reforms and foster a safe, supportive environment for children at home, at schools, and across society.
