Uzbekistan Opens New Trade Hub in Guangdong Province

Uzbekistan has taken another concrete step to strengthen its economic presence in China by opening a new trade hub in Guangdong Province, one of the country’s most dynamic industrial and commercial regions.

A delegation from "Uzbekistan National Economic Cooperation" association, together with a group of women entrepreneurs, paid a working visit to China’s major economic hubs-Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

As part of the visit, a series of economic forums and roundtable discussions were held in the presence of representatives of Chinese partner associations and companies.

Key events included the China-Uzbekistan Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference and the Uzbekistan-China Economic Exchange, both aimed at expanding trade ties and strengthening direct business contacts between entrepreneurs from the two countries.

To promote export-oriented products from Uzbek manufacturers, the delegation met with representatives of Overseas Prominent Brand (OPB). As a result, agreements were reached to widely showcase products from Funksional Oziq-Ovqatlar Kombinati, XBS Meyve Interprice, and several other Uzbek enterprises on OPB’s online and offline platforms.

Presentations were also organized for major importing companies in Guangdong Province, highlighting high-quality confectionery and sweets, semi-finished products, and processed agricultural goods produced in Uzbekistan.

Following the business program in Guangdong, a representative office of the National Association of Economic Cooperation of Uzbekistan was officially opened in the province. In addition, cooperation agreements were signed with the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce and Guangdong Dongzao Investment Management, creating new opportunities to boost bilateral trade and implement joint investment projects.
