Uzbekistan is preparing to host the Spain-S5+ Azerbaijan international forum in Tashkent later this year, with agriculture and investment expected to be among the key areas of discussion.
Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture and the Embassy of Spain discussed preparations for the upcoming event, The Caspian Post reports via the Uzbek Agriculture Ministry.
The sides reviewed organizational matters and the forum’s planned program. The event is expected to bring together entrepreneurs, investors and agricultural businesses interested in developing partnerships, launching investment projects and introducing advanced agricultural technologies.
A particular focus will be placed on expanding the use of scientific research, innovation and modern technologies in agriculture.
The participants also discussed opportunities for Uzbekistan to benefit from Spain’s experience in water-saving technologies, intensive horticulture, food processing and agricultural education.
Uzbek and Spanish representatives expressed confidence that the forum will help strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture, facilitate joint projects and create new opportunities for business contacts.
