Uzbekistan and Russia are expanding their cooperation in the healthcare sector.
Torakul Arzikulov, Head of the Health Department of Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Region, and Maxim Zabelin, Deputy Chairman of the Government and Minister of Health of Russia’s Moscow Region, have signed a series of memorandums of cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The agreements provide for exchange of expertise and internship opportunities for doctors from Tashkent Region at leading medical institutions in the Moscow Region.
A delegation from Tashkent Region, including representatives of the healthcare system, also participated in the sixth International Congress of Pediatricians “Pediatrics as Art”, held at the Government House of the Moscow Region.
The forum brought together over 7,000 participants, including specialists from 75 Russian regions and 28 countries worldwide.
The congress highlighted the latest medical innovations, simulation centers, advanced rehabilitation equipment, IT solutions, and digital technologies in healthcare.
During the visit, representatives of Tashkent Region actively took part in scientific and practical sessions, strengthening professional ties and fostering knowledge exchange between the two regions.
