Uzbekistan’s Fergana region is set to deepen cooperation with Germany in vocational education, opening new opportunities for workforce training, language learning, and career development aligned with international labor market demands.
The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Fergana regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation of German vocational education providers, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.
Talks focused on cooperation with iMOVE - Training Made in Germany, a program supported by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. The partnership aims to establish modern training centers in Fergana and enhance professional skills development across key sectors.
German representatives shared expertise in workforce training for industries including construction, automotive manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, and logistics. The discussions also explored professions currently in high demand in Germany and ways to prepare Uzbek specialists for these careers.
Officials highlighted plans for a major new educational center in Fergana that could serve as a hub for future joint training projects and international educational initiatives.
The two sides agreed to expand cooperation focused on developing human capital, equipping young people with modern skills, and preparing competitive professionals for both domestic and global labor markets.
