In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover totaled $17.3 billion, based on preliminary figures from the State Statistics Committee.
The figure marks an increase of $1.37 billion, or 8.6%, compared to the same period last year, indicating a continued upward trend in the country's international trade activity, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Of the total trade turnover, exports accounted for $8.1 billion, while imports stood at $9.2 billion.
The growth in trade comes amid various government initiatives aimed at liberalizing trade, improving logistics infrastructure, and enhancing bilateral and multilateral economic partnerships.
