As of April 1, 2025, Uzbekistan's permanent population has reached 37.7 million, marking a 2% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Mortality and life expectancy forecasts
Forecasts for 2025 estimate that 223.9 thousand people may die in Uzbekistan that year. According to the agency, the average life expectancy in the country is 74.3 years.
More than half of all deaths are attributed to cardiovascular diseases, which remain the leading cause of mortality.
