The Uzbek National Statistics Committee has announced that 6,832 tons of dried apricots valued at $10.6 million were exported between January and May 2025.
The export volume represents a 36 per cent increase-or 1,800 tons more-compared to the same period last year, highlighting growing global demand for the country’s dried fruit products, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
The top five markets for Uzbek dried apricots during the first five months of the year were:
Kazakhstan: 1,792 tons
China: 1,078 tons
Türkiye: 1,023 tons
Russia: 902 tons
Belarus: 487 tons
An additional 1,550 tons were shipped to other international markets.
Uzbekistan is one of Central Asia’s leading producers of dried apricots, benefiting from favorable climate conditions and increasing investment in agricultural processing and export logistics.
