Uzbekistan-Syria Trade House Officially Opens in Aleppo

A new Uzbekistan-Syria Trade House and distribution center has officially opened in the city of Aleppo, marking a major step toward expanding economic and trade cooperation between Uzbekistan and Syria.

The project was launched through cooperation between Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ahmad Kalash Ltd. The opening ceremony brought together senior officials, diplomats, and more than 100 entrepreneurs from both countries, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

Among those attending were Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Ayubkhon Yunusov.

The new trade hub is designed to promote Uzbek-made products in the Syrian market, strengthen direct business ties, and organize logistics and distribution channels between the two countries.

Delivery of one cargo container from Uzbekistan to Aleppo currently takes around 10 days, with transportation costs averaging about $2,500.

The center is expected to boost exports under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand while opening new opportunities for bilateral trade and long-term economic partnership.

Businessmen from both sides believe the initiative will help deepen commercial cooperation and create new external trade routes linking Uzbekistan with Middle Eastern markets.
