The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree to establish "Cyber University" as a state institution, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
According to the resolution, the university’s main objectives include:
- Training specialists in information security, cybersecurity, digital technologies, digital economy, artificial intelligence-based automated information-analytical systems, robotics, and other related fields.
- Retraining and enhancing the qualifications of professionals in digital technologies.
- Organizing the educational process based on advanced international experience and modern educational technologies while promoting an open information and educational environment.
- Creating additional opportunities for young people to gain education and professional skills while expanding recruitment and training programs for government agencies, enterprises, and other organizations.
- Collaborating with leading national and international universities, research institutions, digital technology developers and consumers, and other industry enterprises to implement educational and research projects.
- Developing educational and methodological materials in relevant fields, conducting fundamental, scientific, and applied research with the participation of students and professionals.
