Representatives from Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz company and Türkiye’s ADO Mining company have recently met to discuss prospects for localizing the production of key chemicals used in the oil and gas industry.
During the meeting, ADO Mining presented its strong international presence and expertise in producing barium sulfate and calcium carbonate, highlighting its manufacturing facilities across Türkiye, India, the United States, Indonesia, the UAE, Tunisia, Morocco, and Canada, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.
The company emphasized its experience and investment potential in supporting localization efforts.
The Uzbek delegation outlined the benefits of investing in Uzbekistan, including the advantages offered by free economic zones, robust infrastructure, tax and customs incentives, legal guarantees, and state support mechanisms aimed at attracting investors.
Both parties focused on evaluating the technical and economic viability of establishing local production of import-substituting chemicals such as barium sulfate and calcium carbonate, and considered possible sites for the factories within Uzbekistan.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to strengthen cooperation and to undertake further feasibility studies to move forward with the projects.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan continues attracting global brands, recently becoming a new market for leading Polish clothing companies.
