At the “Turkmenistan Oil and Gas - 2025” International Exhibition and Conference (OGT-2025), a delegation from Uzbekneftegaz company has held high-level talks with the leadership of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), highlighting the growing energy cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz met with the president of SOCAR to discuss the implementation of the Production Sharing Agreement for geological exploration in the Ustyurt region, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Both sides agreed to accelerate the start of seismic surveys and outlined steps to boost efficiency and ensure timely project delivery.
The discussions also focused on expanding collaboration in digital transformation. Uzbekneftegaz plans to adopt SOCAR’s experience in artificial intelligence, digital solutions, and automated management systems - technologies expected to enhance productivity, reduce operational costs, and strengthen environmental sustainability.
The meeting reaffirmed the strategic and constructive nature of the partnership between the two leading energy companies of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
