World Bank Puts Uzbekistan in Top-3 Growth Rankings

Uzbekistan is expected to rank among the top three fastest-growing emerging economies in Europe and Central Asia in 2026, according to a new forecast by the World Bank.

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are also projected to join the top three, highlighting Central Asia’s position as the fastest-growing subregion across Europe and Central Asia, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The World Bank report notes that although economic growth in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan is expected to slow somewhat in 2026, elevated global gold prices are likely to continue supporting economic activity in these countries.
