Heroic Rescue in Uzbekistan Stops Woman From Jumping Bridge

A video circulating on social media shows a young woman standing on a bridge over a busy road and attempting to jump in Uzbekistan.

The incident occurred on January 14 around 08:00 (GMT+5) on the bridge crossing Navoi Avenue in the Ishchilar neighborhood of Andijan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

According to the Andijan Regional Police Department, the 23-year-old woman, climbed onto the bridge due to a sudden deterioration in her mental and emotional state, intending to jump.

Emergency responders and a joint operational team quickly arrived at the scene and, together with other specialized services, prevented a possible tragedy.

The prosecutor’s office is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
