Armenia will host the annual Eagle Partner 2026 military exercises from June 17 to 25 as part of preparations for participation in international peacekeeping missions.
The drills will bring together 250 personnel from the Armenian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Brigade, alongside 58 servicemen from the US Army Europe and Africa and the Kansas National Guard, 24 participants from France, and 11 from Greece, The Caspian Post reports via ArmInfo.
The exercises will focus on peacekeeping operations, with participating units training in a range of mission-related tasks designed to enhance readiness for international deployments.
The primary goal of Eagle Partner 2026 is to improve interoperability among forces involved in multinational peacekeeping missions, strengthen command and tactical communication capabilities, exchange best practices, and boost the combat readiness of Armenia’s peacekeeping units.
Armenian defense officials noted that units preparing for international peacekeeping operations regularly take part in similar joint exercises and training programs with partner countries as part of ongoing mission preparation efforts.
