Armenia, UN Sign Sustainable Development Framework for 2026–2030

Armenia and the United Nations have signed a framework document outlining bilateral cooperation on sustainable development for the 2026-2030 period, according to a statement released by the Armenian government.

The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and United Nations Resident Coordinator in Armenia Françoise Jacob, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

The signing ceremony was attended by the heads of UN agency representations in Armenia as well as representatives of Armenian state departments.

Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan emphasized the importance of approving the document and implementing further joint programs within its framework. He underlined that the Government of Armenia remains committed to continuing reforms in the mentioned areas and expressed readiness to pursue this path together with the country’s development partners.

Grigoryan noted that the new cooperation framework fully aligns with the Armenian government’s priorities and creates opportunities to combine development policy with Armenia’s peace agenda.

UN Resident Coordinator Françoise Jacob presented the main content of the document and outlined the scope of cooperation.
