Armenian wine has entered the Belgian market under a newly launched private label brand, marking another step in the country's growing international wine exports.
The first shipment of wine produced by Hin Areni Winery has already been sent to Belgium under the Ludas brand following a business agreement reached during a visit to Armenia's renowned wine region of Areni, The Caspian Post reports via
The announcement was made by Ara Marutyan, co-founder of the "Export Armenia" Association of Experts, who said the partnership was finalized after representatives from Belgian company Ludas BV, along with members of the Armenian business community, toured the Areni Cave, local vineyards, the Wine Bank, and the Hin Areni winery before taking part in a wine tasting.
Marutyan said the visit left such a strong impression that the parties reached a late-night agreement to produce and export Armenian wine to Belgium under the Ludas private label.
He noted that the initiative reflects the enduring spirit of the slogan "Made by Armenians - Armenian for Armenian," highlighting cooperation within the global Armenian business community.
The first export shipment has already been dispatched, opening a new chapter for Armenian wine in the Belgian market.
